Established in 2009, Anthony A. Zmaila Limited PLLC provides a wide variety of legal services to clients. Its litigation practice encompasses civil, business, and landlord/tenant litigation, as well as bankruptcy and bankruptcy related litigation.

The firm’s lawyers, Anthony A. Zmaila and Peter J. Goatz bring a breadth of legal experience to its clients. A veteran litigator, Mr. Zmaila has tried matters in both Missouri and Nevada over his 30 years of practice. Mr. Goatz has practiced criminal law as an intern during law school in San Diego, and has represented clients in civil matters.

Anthony A. Zmaila conducts a civil and bankruptcy litigation practice. After graduating from St. Louis University School of Law in 1978, he studied at Leningrad State University in the former USSR where he wrote and delivered a paper to the Civil Law Faculty on the comparative treatment of victims of defective products in the respective countries. (Later, Mr. Zmaila taught Russian for two years at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas).

In 1981, he began to practice business law with the Missouri law office of Morris A. Shenker. He became a member of the Nevada Bar in 1982 and became General Counsel to the Dunes. After successfully guiding the Dunes through bankruptcy, Mr. Zmaila joined the law firm of Vargas & Bartlett as “Of Counsel” (Vargas & Bartlett later known as Kummer Kaempfer Bonner & Renshaw). Most recently, Mr. Zmaila was “Of Counsel” at Santoro, Driggs, Walch, Kearney, Holley & Thompson before leaving to open his own practice in 2009.
